New Years Day Race - Boston Harbor 2011

A warm New Year's Day for the race ~ 56 degrees with low overcast, peeks of sun, but no wind. We did have cake, mimosas and a great day on the water.

Captain John & Julie

Rich on the foredeck.

Another club J-24 adrift - with Boston beyond.

Boston Harbor Islands Regatta: Aboard Charisma

The Third Annual Boston Harbor Islands Regatta.

The weather was great: cool and sunny, a fresh breeze most of the day. I heard 165 boats participated in this year's regatta. I had been invited aboard Charisma, an O'Day 31 with Captain Rich and his crew: Ron, John, Bob and Melanie. After the race we moored at Georges Island in the harbor for the post-race party: Redbones barbeque, Harpoon Beer, music and the awards. Charisma won the The Beal Trophy – a 1st in Class E.

Weepecket Buoy and Back

An afternoon of sailing. Today on Buzzard's Bay the wind was fresher than forecast. We had a great sail, across the bay, tacked around the Weepecket Buoy and back.
